A beautiful old house that looked clean at first until we had a biting red ant problem. When cleaning up we lifted area rugs and found candy wrappers etc. We then noticed that our feet were black so we took out the bucket and mop. The floors were filthy as the numerous buckets of black mop water showed. We then decided to vacuum. We filled the bagless vacuum 4 times with the dirt in the area rugs. The one bathtub had a black ring around it, there was sludge on the fixtures and mildew in the toilets. There were numerous spiders and webs. For the price we didn't expect the place to be immaculate but at least a decent level of cleanliness. The place could also use some bigger beds. The full size beds were small, old and creaky, so much that my sister put here mattress on the floor and her husband slept in a separate room. The house had only 1 fan and no a/c units and is very hot. Actually has 1 full and 2 half baths. The kitchen was well equipped but we had to buy a pair of scissors. Lots of drawer space in bedrooms with some beautiful antique furniture. Great sized dining table, large back yard, beautiful sunroom. The outdoor shower is actually in the back of the garage with a drain that is very slow so it floods the garage floor. A gas BBQ would be a nice addition. Short walk to Red River Beach which was great.
